As I've been building the No Code Camp business, I've been experimenting with various marketing techniques to drive potential students to the platform. Something that has been very effective (surprisingly so!) for me has been developing and launching simple AI products that act as top of funnel lead generators, driving high intent visitors to my core business, in this case, No Code Camp.
Some examples of AI products I've built as marketing tools include:
Plan My Trip ASAP: An AI itinerary builder for travelers
Single Prompt AI: A collection of single purpose AI, like a dream decoder or meal planner
Haikuuuu: Daily haikus, generated by AI
For all of these AI applications, I spent no more than a single afternoon building them. I used a common set of no code tools to help me develop these quickly, primarily Zapier, OpenAI, Typedream, Airtable and Softr. And I made sure that all of these tools are providing value to the end users that use them, for free!
So how do I then use these AI apps to drive visitors to my core business? Simple. I'll link out to No Code Camp from the header or footer of these AI products. And then, I'll launch and promote these applications on forums where these apps will have interested users, in this case, Product Hunt, Reddit, Twitter, Ben's Bites and more. For me, this does several great things for my core business:
1- If one of these AI apps gets high traffic, it creates a great backlink for my core business (which is linked from the AI application) improving my core business site score and SEO for web searches.
2- It creates high intent visitors, providing newcomers a strong example of what they could learn from taking No Code Camp courses. For instance, I'll often use a tagline like "Like this tool? Learn how to build it with AI and No Code at No Code Camp." A visitor coming from one of my AI products has much higher intent than a random visitor.
3- Building AI apps keeps me sharp on the newest technology and what will resonate with my audience, which informs the future courses I'll build on No Code Camp.
I highly recommend creating products as marketing. I've gotten many sales, increased traffic and improved SEO from this marketing practice. And, I love the idea of marketing being an additive experience to potential customers, not a tax.
Try it out and let me know how it goes!
